A Quote from 'Amazing Grace'

William Wilberforce: No one our age has ever taken power before.

William Pitt: Which is why we're too young to realise that certain things are impossible - so we will do them anyway.

In the movie, this exchange takes place after William Pitt became Prime Minister of England. He became Prime Minister at 24. So I guess the guys are supposed to be between 24 and 26 at this time.

That's one reason why I like it.

I'm 23 at this time. So ... I figure that I'm still "too young to realise that certain things are impossible" and therefore I "will do them anyway" too. I may not get a chance to change the world for good, as William Wilberforce did. But maybe, with God's help, I can change my world for good. Starting at this time - this moment - before I realise that "certain things are impossible!"

Yes ... I like it!

(Note: I find this quote inspiring, but that doesn't means I'm rubbishing the efforts and achievements of older people - or their wisdom and knowledge of how things can and can't be done. It's just that I'm 23 at this time and I want to make the most of it!)

So ... I've been thinking of watching the move ... but I know nothing of it. Do you have any thoughts to share? :)

Also, I watched Becoming Jane. I loved it!!! I loved the filming. They filmed things that I would just love to sit and look at. The camera would zoom in on rain drops falling in a puddle on a stone street. Or rain running down the window. Or the wind blowing through the trees!!! I just loved it!!! My sister and I had a girl-y night and stayed up until 1:30am watching the movie. ;)

Although, there are parts in the movie that I do not like and think they could cut out ... I'm thinking I'll post a little review of the movie so you can check that out there. :)

Yes! I DO have thoughts to share ... hopefully next week or the week after. I've got more posts about books and more pictures of Israel to share too ... thanks for reminding me to share my thoughts on AG! :->

Ooh ... I wonder if I'll have to watch 'Becoming Jane' sometime! Yes ... DO post a reivew on your blog. I'd love to read it. As you describe it (shots of the ran in a puddle or something), it sounds delightful! :->
